Technical Opening

Technical Opening is a specialist 24-hour emergency locksmith service based in Glasgow, Scotland. Founded by Carl and Caroline Elsegood, both of whom bring extensive military experience to the field, we combine technical expertise with a commitment to customer care. Our team holds Police Scotland Enhanced Disclosure checks and operates under 5 million indemnity insurance through Locksure, ensuring the highest standards of security and professionalism. We specialise in non-destructive entry, safe opening and repair, high-security lock installations, and auto locksmith services, serving both domestic and commercial clients across Scotland and Cumbria. With a focus on quality products from trusted brands like Assa Abloy Mul-T-Lock, we offer solutions tailored to modern security challenges while maintaining a discreet and efficient service. Our military backgrounds have equipped us with unique skills in precision and problem-solving, which we apply to every task, from emergency lockouts to complex master key systems.

We pride ourselves on transparency, charging only for the work agreed upon and avoiding unnecessary call-out fees for most domestic jobs. Customer testimonials consistently highlight our prompt response times, professional conduct, and value for money, particularly in urgent situations where reliability is paramount. As an unregulated industry leader, we maintain rigorous internal standards to ensure trust and safety for all clients, including vulnerable individuals such as the elderly and women requiring female locksmith services. Our workshop facility supports comprehensive repairs and custom solutions, while our online sales platform offers access to insurance-rated safes from leading manufacturers. Whether addressing immediate security crises or implementing long-term protection strategies, Technical Opening remains dedicated to delivering expert, client-focused services that exceed industry expectations.
