The company employs seven full time qualified electronic engineers who are available 24 hours per day to meet the needs of the fishing and marine industries. Through our close association with the world's leading manufacturers of marine electronics we are able to deliver competitively priced equipment and our attention to detail ensures the highest standard of installation and support to our customers.
The company also provides other technical services including electronic weighing systems for fish processing companies, onshore radar maintenance and VTS support, and telecommunication support for a number of clients who have interests in Shetland including Vodafone, Ericsson and Faroese Telecom.

The Williamson family moved from Delting in the north of Shetland to Scalloway in the mid 1920's.
H. Williamson & Son was formed when Harry Williamson and his eldest son Jimmy started a cycle & motorcycle repair business just 100 metres from our present location, which they later expanded to include a motor car repair service.

This has involved extensive consultation with the vessel owners to establish their requirements, advising owners on the most suitable equipment, and from there, developing a fully integrated wheelhouse package as per the owners' specification.
